Generating leads online depends on getting found in an organic search, but even when your potential clients look you up they need to be able to find you. Especially during this time of shelter in place when you can't operate in the traditional ways in Real Estate to meet new clients. You are dependent upon what the internet says about you and how they locate you. Let's make sure it's a positive experience and easy for the consumer to identify you.
The first thing you need is a website that is optimized for SEO. What does that mean? It needs to have:
Custom domain name
Meta titles on each page
Meta descriptions for each page
Keywords associated to your website and used throughout
Content, a minimum of 300 words per page is optimal
Readability - Paragraph titles, use of bullets and numbers
Images
Video
External Links
Internal Links
Mobile responsive
Just to name a few...
Is that enough to get you ranked on the three main search engines? Chrome, MS Edge, and Safari are the top three search engines used today. Understanding their algorithms and how they rank your website is important. Having a website is a great start, but if you don't create listings for the search engines, or utilize their properties (YouTube is owned by Google for example), you may never get to page 1.
Even if you get there, how do you maintain that ranking? It takes a bit of work, and is EASIER than you think. Check out my event page and register for my class on SEO today. You may find it fun too!
